The only purpose of this blog is to publicly show, using the favorite finger (index, of course), the stupidity, idiocy, bureaucracy and just about everything else that bothers us here in Romania.
I am a person who is sick of the principles on which this country is really based on, which are so different from the almost neatly expressed concepts of the Constitution.
I’m sick of paying taxes whose only real purpose are to continue a status quo (state subsidized economy, state interventionism for elections) and in order to pay the salaries of public servants, most of whom have the CERTAINTY (Communist reminiscence) that common citizens are what you’d call “second rate citizens” and they are demigods.
I’m sick of the fact that in Romania the private signature of a person has no value unless accompanied by a stamp (for a legal entity) or countersigned by a notary public (which notary publics have become some kind of bigger demigods).
Fact: For an average in notary public fees and various Romanian state taxes of 3% (this, of course, is an underestimation) per real estate transaction, seeing as we’re living in an age where they matter a lot, which money are split basically two ways between the notary public and the state, and for every 67 real estate properties sold (at the same price), the state and the notary public have each made a profit equaling the value of said property.
I’m just sick and tired of Romania and I intend to make public all the worst and most unpleasant facts about this country, together with the few things that I actually enjoy (the fresh mountain air, the way in which I interact with authorities in other states, lattes and others
)
