Unfortunately, one thing all Romanian political party representatives (with the exception of Corneliu Vadim Tudor, the only one that’s honest about it) publicly say they want but which they all want to ensure we’ll get as close to the moment popularly called “when pigs fly” is the single-winner voting system. Why?

Because it’s better for all of them if it’s not used, so that all members of parliament answer to the party, which party in turn will just fool people into voting for it at the next elections.

Because if those members of parliament would be elected on a name basis… most would come to the Parliament just for visits.

Because if those members of parliament would answer in person, on the voting ballots, in front of voters, the parties would lose the power they have over the members of parliament.

And for those of you whose memory doesn’t extend beyond the last 3 months, who will be thinking that “Băsescu is the coolest” and that “only Băsescu, the true savior of the people, wants the single-winner voting system”, oh please do remember that this “real man” and local El Lider Maximo has just changed his opinion (about this as well) and back when he was a member of parliament he disagreed with this type of voting system.

I wonder why…

Din păcate, un singur lucru pe care public toţi reprezentanţii partidelor politice româneşti îl doresc (cu excepţia lui Corneliu Vadim Tudor, care e singurul sincer) dar pe care doresc cu toţii să se asigure că-l vom avea cât mai aproape de momentul popular numit “Paştele Cailor”, este votul uninominal. De ce?

Pentru că tuturor le e bine să nu existe, pentru ca toţi membrii parlamentului să se subordoneze partidului, care partid va prosti oamenii la alegeri.

Pentru că dacă parlamentarii ăia ar fi aleşi după numele lor… mulţi ar veni la Parlament doar în vizită.

Pentru că dacă parlamentarii ăia ar răspunde personal pe buletinele de vot în faţa alegătorilor, partidele ar pierde puterea pe care o au asupra parlamentarilor.

Şi pentru cei care ţin minte doar ultimele 3 luni şi se vor gândi că “Băsescu este cel mai tare” şi că “doar Băsescu, adevăratul salvator al poporului, vrea uninominal”, aduceţi-vă aminte că acest “bărbat politic” şi El Lider Maximo autohton doar şi-a schimbat părerea (şi referitor la asta) iar pe vremea când era parlamentar nu era de acord.

De ce oare?

În curând din nou pe străzile ţării.

- virginity - because believing the now suspended president would mean being pretty darn naive

- 5000 dintre cei 10000 de oameni care îşi anunţaseră prezenţa (!?!);

- 1 preşedinte partid (Traian Boc);

- virginitatea

Unii oameni chiar cred că în ultimii doi ani, Traian Băsescu, prin simpla lui prezenţă într-o funcţie semi-onorifică, a pus pe pauză mica corupţie.

Care, desigur, va reveni imediat acum că Băselu’ a fost suspendat. Vedeţi părerea Băse-fanului aici.

Dar pentru a vedea ceva ce chiar vă va face să râdeţi, trebuie să vedeţi asta!

Some people actually believe that during the past two years, Traian Băsescu, through his mere presence in a semi-honorary function, has actually paused small corruption.
