Update (23 APR 2007): Today’s phenomenal rally is only being transmitted live by certain TV stations, amongst which Realitatea. So, suddenly, in the view of some fans of Băsescu, Sorin Ovidiu Vântu, for example, is no longer an oligarch. Need I say more?…

Of course, I’m actually talking about lack of professionalism.

My girlfriend’s broadband connection got cut off for not paying an invoice THAT WAS PAID over 45 days ago!

As her spokesperson (and person who tries to cut through the bullshit and stupidity of all private and public institutions), I ended up talking to the people from RDS and then sending them a fax with a copy of the payment order that gave them their money oh so long ago.

Five hours later, still no connection.

Another call I made shows the professionalism of one nobody from Customer Service:

- “The connection will be reestablished after the payment is confirmed”

- “The payment will be confirmed when our Collections staff confirms it”

- “The confirmation will take place when Collections confirms it”

- “I cannot transfer you to Collections”

- “I cannot provide you with a phone number for Collections”

- “I cannot transfer you to a superior”

- “IS THERE ANYTHING ELSE I CAN HELP YOU WITH!??!?!?!!?”

…

Update: 48 hours later, still no connection, and RDS refuses to confirm the fact that the payment has been made to them. As of right now we’ve filed complaints with National Authority for Consumer Protection (for non-providing of paid services) and ING Bank (the guys from RDS say that their payment is not confirmed and that it’s… the bank’s fault - Yeah, right…).

Update 2: After !!!6 days!!!, a couple dozen phone calls, an audience and a question which will forever remain in the RDS phone log hall of fame and which I asked in the spirit of sexual freedom (or just because I was really pissed off)… “Besides paying for the Internet services, exactly who do I have to blow to get a working Internet connection?”… they finally reactivated my account. The very next day they called to tell me that they’re gonna suspend it again if I don’t pay them the bill which I already paid so long ago. These people are just morons.

Desigur, voi vorbi despre lipsa profesionalismului.

Prietena mea a rămas fără net pentru neplata unei facturi PLĂTITE acum o lună şi jumătate!

În calitate de purtător de cuvânt al ei (şi de persoană care încearcă pe cât posibil să taie direct prin cretinismul oricărei instituţii publice sau private de orice fel), m-am trezit vorbind cu cei de la RDS şi apoi trimiţându-le un fax cu o copie după ordinul de plată prin care le-au intrat banii de atâta timp.

Cinci ore mai târziu, netul era în continuare din părţi.

Un alt apel a relevat doza de profesionalism prezentată de către un oarecare de la Customer Service:

- “Serviciul va fi restabilit după ce va fi confirmată plata”

- “Plata se va confirma când cei de la Collections o vor confirma”

- “Confirmarea va avea loc când va fi făcută de cei de la Collections”

- “Nu vă pot transfera la cei de la Collections”

- “Nu vă pot da un număr de telefon pentru cei de la Collections”

- “Nu vă pot transfera la un superior”

- “VĂ MAI POT AJUTA CU CEVA!??!?!?!!?”

…

Update: 48 de ore mai târziu, netul este în continuare din părţi iar RDS-ul refuză să confirme faptul că plata le-a fost făcută. Momentan am făcut plângeri la ANPC (nefurnizarea serviciilor plătite) şi la ING Bank (cei de la RDS spun că lor nu li se confirmă plata şi că… banca e de vină - Yeah, right…).

Update 2: După !!!6 zile!!!, câteva zeci de telefoane, o audienţă şi o întrebare care va rămâne pe veci în logurile RDS şi pe care am pus-o în spiritul libertăţii sexuale (sau al dracilor pe care-i aveam)… “Pe lângă faptul că v-am plătit, cui trebuie să i-o sug ca să-mi meargă netul?”… au dat drumul la net. A doua zi au dat telefon să-mi spună că-mi vor tăia netul dacă nu le plătesc factura plătită. Copiii ăştia sunt cretini.

Vreţi să vă duceţi la Piaţa Universităţii, să-l susţineţi?

Faceţi-o! Chiar vă rog. E dreptul vostru constituţional.

Vă zbate vreun gând cretin să faceţi vreo revoluţie oranj-căcănie?…

În acest caz, vă rog frumos să vă băgaţi acel gând în cele 3, să o luaţi la cele 4 şi să vă duceţi dracului în Ucraina sau în altă parte unde ţine.
