According to El Presidente as quoted by Realitatea.NET (”I cherish the one million extra cotes as compared to the number of votes I received in the 2004 elections and I will consider these a treasure which I will not squander“) he obtained over 1 million votes more than he did in the November 2004 elections.
As per CURS (an institute who was until recently ran by Mr. Sebastian Lăzăroiu, who became Presidential Adviser to El Presidente starting with March 15th 2007) as quoted by Realitatea.NET, El Presidente obtained the votes of 78% of those that voted today.
As per the 2004 Central Electoral Office, El Presidente obtained just 5126794 votes in November 2004.
Corroborating what El Presidente said with the 2004 results, we can reach the conclusion that he obtained at least 6126794 votes today, March 19th 2007.
Corroborating this number with the results of the poll above, we would have 7854864 persons that voted today, which would represent roughly 42,88% of the number of people that were registered to vote.
A participation rate of close to the 46% announced by INSOMAR-Metro Media Transilvania as quoted by Realitatea.NET.
Hello! Mr. President… You have lost your legitimacy.
In November 2004 you had 55% of the people in Romania present at the vote. Between 9-12% of all Romanian voters didn’t even bother choosing between you and you today. Ergo, you’ve kid of lost your legitimacy.
Păcat că vei rămâne preşedinte. Sau poate… participarea fiind sub 50% Parlamentul va decide dacă va fi sau nu validat acest referendum. Voi continua să îţi doresc şi să încerc să te ajut să redevii simplu cetăţean.
