Lustration - between definition and cretinism

1. LUSTRATION - A ceremony for purifying a person, a field, etc. 2. A rite of purification.

2. Purification doesn’t mean eliminating political opponents, oh dearest esteemed fellows who are so bothered that Ion Iliescu is still alive: just think about it, almost 80 years old and he personally brings in as many votes as the most important members of your parties put together. (the votes of “intellectuals” are of equal value to votes of “peasants”).

3. It would be normal for all those blasted Securitate files to be posted online, scanned and unrevised, so that everybody can choose what and how, not a group of 7, now 11 oh so wonderful and untainted individuals what someone was back in the day. I would hereby like to show the back of one of my finger nails to all the members of this group - you make me sick and you’ve become as Communist as Ceauşescu’s most loyal lackeys.

The basic idea is that the people must have access to information and must decide. Access to information and the power to decide. The power to decide means that the people should have the option of voting any former Communist, Securitate member or whatever, but the people (directly, and represented by 7-11 so-called extraordinary people) should have access to all the information, so that our elected officials not be blackmail targets. Because it is due to the fact that they an be blackmailed that I for one live in a Romania that creates very long expressions.
