Thinking about some specifically Romanian post-communist judicial-administrative crap that’s affecting my well being, I remembered how hard I laughed the first time I found out that in Israel, in the wisdom of the Jewish population that emigrated after WW2, the title of this post was coined as defining for Romanians.
Although not 100% true, statistically speaking that expression applies with a rigor that far exceeds any poll I’ve ever seen, applying to anything from dumb families that try and steal each other of an inheritance, continuing with idiots that try and get a parking space allotted to them by bribing Public Domain Administration officials and all the way to the stupidest idiots of them all, those who only want a desk job paid by the state that requires no thinking whatsoever, only pushing papers and attacking all new colleagues who would actually get some work done on account that these new colleagues just make them seem stupid.
Romanians steal each other around the clock. It’s not that other people don’t do it as well, don’t get me wrong, but a Romanian something bad happened to him and to another Romanian than something good happening only to the other Romanian.
I’ve actually come to believe that 99.9% of Romanians are irrevocably idiotic. And the truly hilarious thing of it all is that I might actually be right.
