M-am săturat ca de fiecare dată când îi văd figura neplăcută la televizor şi gura-i se deschide spre a rosti cuvinte pline de înţelepciune SĂ FACĂ CEL PUŢIN UN DEZACORD PER PROPOZIŢIE!

Ultima ispravă: “[...]ele sunt campioane şi dorim să insufle acel spirit de câştigătoare către copii de aceeaşi vârsta cu ei[...]” (*citatul este aproximativ, dezacordul însă acesta era).

Aşa D.A. Educaţie!…

1. Devii tartor şef peste un liceu. Să zicem… Dante Alighieri.
2. Te prefaci că te doare-n pix de siguranţa elevilor aşa că decizi să faci un sondaj, pentru a-i consulta, să vezi dacă ar fi de acord să poarte uniforme, pentru a le creşte siguranţa de a fi găsiţi şi bătuţi.
3. O faci la sfârşit de an şcolar.
4. Le spui celor de-a XII-a să zică da pentru a-şi bate joc de ăi mai mici.
5. Câştigă DA-urile la puţine voturi diferenţă.
6. La început de an, îi anunţi pe toţi că gata, vin uniformele.
7. Nu asculţi de cei care spun că nu pot scoate atâţia bani. Trebuie. S-a decis.
8. Refuzi să răspunzi la întrebări normale privind chitanţe, facturi, etc.
9. Spui că s-a acordat deja contractul.
10. Forţezi puştii să scoată banii.

Acum că am ajuns la nota 10, hai să vedem ce-nseamnă-n realitate.

Ai aproape 1000 de elevi. Îl obligi pe fiecare să scoată 170 lei noi fiecare pentru uniforme (sau era 180?… în fine, pe-aproape).
Se fac, scurt, 170000 lei noi. 1,7 miliarde lei vechi, oameni buni.

Uniformele alea sunt simpliste. Sunt făcute de firma unei foste cunoştinţe a tartorului şef, ca peste tot. Nu pot costa peste 60 RON bucata. Rezultă un profit de 110 lei noi per uniformă. Ori aceiaşi 1000 de elevi… 110000 lei noi profit… Desigur, trebuie să facă un profit şi cunoştinţa. Să zicem 50% din profitul real. Juma’ de miliard poate să se ducă acolo unde trebuie.

Plus, desigur, mai rămâne acea mică chestie care se cheamă evaziune fiscală. Că banii sunt strânşi alde liceu. La şeful clasei. Care-i dă dirigintelui. Care-i dă mai departe…
Iar elevul nu primeşte nici o dovadă de plată. Ce e şi mai drăguţ este dacă există într-adevăr un contract între liceu şi acea firmă. Pentru că, dacă există, banii strânşi pot fi sifonaţi bine, iar alte fonduri ale liceului pot fi redirecţionate spre a plăti facturile…

Poveste adevărată de la minori adunată.

Why? Cause at the beginning of the ’90s the Patriarch of the Romanian Orthodox Church had ran to the mountains because of how scared he was and Communism had brought the church to its knees (for which I gracefully thank the Romanian Communist Party) and the Romanian state was truly a secular state.

And so everybody could send their kids to school without getting them back prostrating themselves to a higher power.

Fast forward to now, and the “free elections” we have in dearest Romania, and the fact that peasants still vote whichever way their local priest says and the church wants to make sure that the future generations are going to be submissive, and will guarantee their bellies get big and the welfare of the church gets, oh well, a lot better off and that today’s students will be tomorrows gold teeth donors.

That’s why a huge “Cathedral of the Nation”, as they call it, will be built in downtown Bucharest (instead of a friggin 5000 parking space parking), and be financed from public money (WTF!?!, just because one line of Romania’s anthem mentions priests? And they’re talking about 50 times more money than that parking would have cost ), and that’s why religion will be mandatory from kindergarten up (cause you’ve gotta get them young, when they can’t think for themselves and will take anything said as true, and not with a grain of salt) and that’s why politicians will always go and make the sign of the cross for every high-ranking church official that kicks the bucket…

I’m not affected by this due to lack of children, but you’d have to be quite an idiot parent to stand for this. Just think how much better it is to teach your child the difference between faith, religion and the real world yourself and not have a priest do it - who knows, maybe come your first heart attack your kid dials 911 and doesn’t get down on his knees to give you your last rights

PS: In the US religion is a very important subject and people vote their elected officials taking into account their religion. But making it mandatory in schools is up to the schools themselves (go to Catholic school, you get Catholic school) but parents/kids have a say in the matter and the choice rests with them.

Pentru că la începutul lui 1990 Patriarhul Bisericii Ortodoxe Române era fugit în munţi de frică iar comunismul adusese Biserica în genunchi (printre singurele lucruri pentru care mulţumesc cu evlavie PCR-ului) iar statul român era cu adevărat laic.

Şi uite aşa putea tot omul să-şi trimită zgâmboiul la şcoală şi să nu-l primească înapoi făcând mătănii.

Fast forward până acum, la “alegeri libere” cum avem în România dragă, la faptul că ţăranii încă votează cum le zice popa, iar popa zice ce-i zice Biserica, iar Biserica vrea să se asigure că următoarele generaţii vor fi molcome, vor garanta îngrăşarea popilor şi bunăstarea bisericii, şi că elevii de azi vor ajunge donatorii de dinţi de aur de mâine.

De-asta va exista o Catedrală a Neamului (în loc de o parcare supraetajată cu 5000 de locuri în plin buricul Bucureştiului), care va fi finanţată din bani publici (WTF!?!, doar pentru că un vers din imn spune ceva de preoţi? Şi încă de vreo 50 de ori mai mulţi bani decât ar fi costat parcarea ), de-asta va exista învăţământ religios obligatoriu de la grădiniţă (pentru că tre’ să-i prinzi de tineri, când nu au discernământ şi pot fi, ce mai, îndobitociţi) şi de-asta se vor duce şi se vor închina toţi politicienii la toţi morţii bisericii ş.a.m.d.

Pe mine nu mă afectează din lipsă de copii, dar cretin părinte să fii să stai să-nghiţi aşa ceva. Gândeşte-te că-i mai bine să înveţe diferenţa dintre credinţă, religie şi lumea reală de la tine decât de la un popă - cine ştie, poate când vei face primul infarct miocardic va da telefon la 112 şi nu se va aşeza în genunchi lângă tine să-ţi dea ultima împărtăşanie

PS: În America religia este un subiect foarte important şi oamenii votează alesul funcţie şi de religie. Dar obligativitatea materiei este stabilită de şcoli (dacă te duci la o şcoală catolică, aia primeşti) şi opţiunea este lăsată la latitudinea părinţilor/copiiilor.

Extras dintr-un anunţ de la avizier:

Studenţii care au restanţe din anii anteriori trebuie să aducă la secretariat chitanţele aferente taxelor de restantă (20 lei/restanţă).
Intrarea în examen este condiţionată de înscriere şi de dovada plăţii taxei pentru restanţă.

Asta în condiţiile în care “Regulamentul privind Activitatea Profesională a Studenţilor” (pagină arhivată aici), art. 9, lit. d) spune:

La fiecare disciplină, studentul se poate prezenta la examene de cel mult 2 ori gratuit. În cazul în care studentul nu obţine note de promovare după cea de-a doua prezentare poate solicita o singură reexaminare suplimentară cu taxă în condiţiile art. 58 din Legea învăţământului.

Acuma… eu ştiind limba română şi având minime cunoştinţe juridice (nu chiar minime, dar fie) asta-nseamnă că te-ai putut prezenta prima oară gratis când ai făcut cursul, la primul examen şi a doua oară gratis atunci când te-ai înscris la restanţă, iarăşi gratis… Abia după să fie cu bani. Însă dacă eşti tăcut din fire (adică mai tâmp aşa, în accepţiunea mea), le dai banii.

Şi deoarece nu vreau să fiu scârţar trebuie să admit că aşa se întâmplă la această minunată facultate de cu mult dinainte ca decanul ei, Cristian Preda, să devină Consilier Prezidenţial (pagină arhivată aici) al lui El Presidente dar sunt sigur că ştie de aceste politici ale facultăţii.

Din ciclul chestiunilor neplăcute pe care mi-a fost dat să le văd şi experimentez la această facultate aş putea include obligativitatea cererii unui card BCR prin facultate ca parte a înscrierii în an (care s-a anulat după niscaiva scandal făcut de mai mulţi studenţi şi nici un card cerut nu a fost emis până la urmă - aparent cineva [oare cine?] s-a asigurat că Departamentul Juridic al BCR primeşte informaţii clare despre ce şi mai ales cum a dorit să facă Universitatea Bucureşti aceste carduri) şi încă o chestiune hush-hush momentan - până când obţin toate informaţiile necesare, ca apoi să le public - despre diverse metode/maniere de a face bani din educaţie.

PS: Acest articol stă scris în sistem de vreo 3-4 săptămâni. Cum ieri s-a susţinut licenţa şi s-a pierdut orice fel de putere de a face Z-ului viaţa amară, acum s-a apăsat butonul Publică

PPS: Am scrâşnit din dinţi de ură împotriva mea pentru că ţineam acest articol nepublicat. A-mi ţine gura sau blogul închis (chiar şi pentru binele meu) este foarte dificil.

Translated excerpt from a notice on the university billboard:

Students that are registering take exams failed in previous years must provide the secretariat with the receipts for the failed exam reexamination taxes (20 RON/reexamination).
Entrance to the exam is conditioned by registration and proof of payment.

This wile the “Regulations regarding Student Professional Activity” (page archived here), art. 9, letter d) states:

For each discipline, the student may take exams no more than 2 times for free. Should the student fail to obtain a passing grade the second time taking the exam, the student may request a single additional paid reexamination as per the conditions of art 58 of the Education Act.

Now… me knowing Romanian (cause that’s the language these were originally written in) and having minimal legal knowledge (OK, not minimal, but that doesn’t really matter) that means that one could take an exam for free the first time, when one took the course, and take the exam a second time, for free again, when one first registers for a reexamination exam… And after that pay for it. But if you’re the silent type (dumber, from my point of view), you pay up.

And because I don’t want to be an ass I must admit that this is the way the cookie has been crumbling at this wonderful college long before its dean, Cristian Preda, became Presidential Counselor (page archived here) to El Presidente, but I am sure he knows of these department policies.

From the cycle of bad stuff that I was “lucky enough” to witness studying here, I could include the mandatory requesting of a debit card from the Romanian Commercial Bank as part of academic year registration (which was canceled only after quite a number of students raised up a shit-storm and in the end no requested card - because most students requested it - was ever issued - apparently someone [I wonder who] made sure that the Legal Department of the Romanian Commercial Bank received clear information about what and most specifically how the University of Bucharest went about these cards) and one more thing which I’m keeping under wraps right now - till I get all the necessary information and publish everything - about the various ways and means of making a (slightly illegal or at least unethical) buck from education.

PS: This article was written in this blog about 3-4 weeks ago. Seeing as yesterday was the day when the final exams were held and the Political Science Department lost any and all power of making Z’s life hard, Z pressed Publish

PPS: I hated myself for keeping this article unpublished. Keeping my mouth or my blog silent (even for my own sake) is so difficult.

Art. 25 paragraph (6) of the Regulations regarding the Professional Activity of the Students of the University of Bucharest, as adopted on March 23, 2006 (archived here):

Students whom, at the end of their studies, having gone through the number of semesters (years of study) specified in the learning plan for the duration of the studies, have failed to complete their school obligations and have a maximum of 5 failed exams, may request an extension of their schooling duration by 1 - 2 semesters as per the conditions of art. 58 of the Education Act (with tax) and as per the decisions of the Department Council.

Art. 23 letter d) of the Regulations regarding the Professional Activity of the Students of the Political Science Department of the University of Bucharest, as adopted on October 5, 2005 (archived here):

Students whom, at the end of their undegraduate studies, having gone through the number of semesters specified in the learning plan for the duration of the studies, have failed to complete their school obligations and have a maximum of 5 failed exams in the last 3 semesters, may request an extension of their schooling by 1 semester, as per the conditions of art. 58 of the Education Act (with tax).

Not that I’d be interested anymore, but what’s the dillio?
Do we apply the “pissing contest” principle (University of Bucharest vs. the Political Science Department) or the legal principle according to which the most favorable provisions apply?

Art. 25 alin. (6) din Regulamentul privind Activitatea Profesională a Studenţilor al Universităţii Bucureşti adoptat pe 23 martie 2006 (arhivat aici):

Studentul care la finalul studiilor, după parcurgerea numărului de semestre (ani de studii) prevăzute în planul de învăţământ pentru durata studiilor, nu şi-a finalizat în totalitate obligaţiile şcolare şi are un număr de maxim 5 restanţe, poate solicita prelungirea şcolarităţii cu 1 - 2 semestre în condiţiile art. 58 din Legea învăţământului (cu taxă) şi ale hotărârilor consiliului facultăţii.

Art. 23 lit. d) din Regulamentul privind Activitatea Profesională a Studenţilor al Facultăţii de Ştiinţe Politice din cadrul Universităţii Bucureşti adoptat pe 5 octombrie 2005 (arhivat aici):

Studentul care, la finalul ciclului de licenţă, după parcurgerea numărului de semestre prevăzute în planul de învăţământ pentru durata studiilor, nu şi-a finalizat în totalitate obligaţiile şcolare şi are un număr de maxim 4 restanţe din ultimele 3 semestre, poate solicita prelungirea şcolarităţii cu 1 semestru în condiţiile art. 58 din Legea învăţământului (cu taxă).

Nu că m-ar mai interesa, dar cum rămâne, stimaţilor?
Aplicăm principiul “care o are mai lungă” (Universitatea Bucureşti vs. Facultatea de Ştiinţe Politice) sau principiul legal conform căruia se aplică prevederile cele mai favorabile (că tot are Universitatea Bucureşti rectoratul în Facultatea de Drept)?

PS: Forma corectă este maximum, stimaţi intelectuali.
